MICS will be hosting a fire practice on Sunday May 3rd

Heading into Fire Season.

Pancake Breakfast Thanks

Hello Community of Mudge Island

Hoping everyone had a fantastic Victoria Day, May long weekend. MICS would like to thank everyone who came out Sunday to enjoy some pancakes and sausages with friends and neighbours.

From what I could see the event was very well attended and people were enjoying browsing the garage sale tables before, between and after  breakfast.

Thank you to all the volunteers who make this event possible from setting up, cooking and cleanup and a big thanks to Dale and Jana Erickson for opening up their beautiful property on Driftwood Drive.

The kitchen crew of Kelley Ian and Gord with help form Maryann and Randy kept the line ups moving and served up some very delicious blueberry and regular pancakes with sausages, while Rose and Jana worked the crowd  making sure everyones MICS memberships were up to date. I really enjoyed the blueberry syrup that was offered and went back for seconds.

Pat and Dave ran the MICS merch table and people were picking up great deals on merchandise that was being offered at blowout prices. The MICS fleet of vehicles was on display for the community and guests and some folks even got some driver training when it was time to take the vehicles back to the hall.

Once again thanks to everyone who came out in support and big thanks to all the volunteers. If I have missed mentioning any of our volunteers please accept my apology and know that your contributions are greatly appreciated.

This years Pancake Breakfast brought in $2457.99 This is the total from donations for food, merch sales and donations for membership renewals.

Watch out for news about MICS next big event, the 2026 Firefest and Auction planned for the August long weekend.

Thank you Mudge Island for your continued support.

Scott Flemming, President of MICS.
