March 23 Gabriola Vaccination Clinic Update

Great news: lots of over  80 year olds are getting appointments!  as another nurse has been added to the vaccination clinic to be held on Gabriola on March 23  The vaccination clinic will take place at the Community Hall.  There is some confusion in the language that the Island Health Call centre is using and what seniors are hearing.   So when you say clinic and you mean the vaccination clinic please say that  because many of our seniors think you mean the community clinic!   Also when you say south end Firehall please don’t just say Hall  because that could mean… while you get my drift.

The organizations have been terrific and GALT is pitching in to help with the parking. Most parking will be up at the southend firehall and people will shuttle down to the Community Hall on GERTIE.  There are still some details to work out but everyone is working hard and we are grateful for everyone’s help.   The Ambulance Society has agreed to loan us a wheelchair on that day which will be a big help.   Now is the time to remain calm and keep your sense of humour.  onward 5 more sleeps.  Brenda
