For those of you living in the Chilliwack area I have just posted this message to Social Media:

‘A fire has been reported burning approximately 4 kilometres south of the Canada/US border resulting in smoke being experienced by residents and visitors in the Chilliwack Lake area. The fire is estimated to be 10 hectares in size and burning in a remote area of Washington State. The fire is currently being assessed by the US Forest Service, who are working with the BC Wildfire Service, to assess any potential impacts. For more information go to: https://inciweb.nwcg.gov/.’

Thank you and have a safe weekend,
