Wildfire Community Preparedness Day is May 5 this year

MICS building update.

Thought it was time for another community update on our progress with our development of the MICS property.  As per our last update we have received the funds from the Gaming grant and have jump in with both feet. The 3 bay, 50 foot wide 40 feet deep 2000 sq foot building has been ordered and deposit paid.  We have completed the site prep and will soon start with getting the footing built and the concrete poured, so stay tuned for the work party’s that are going to be coming.  Site Prep ended up being harder than expected by the contractor and they had to bring in blasting equipment but to our surprise and gratitude they did not change the price that was quoted for the rock breaking to help support our community project.

Our goal is to have the building onsite to Mudge late July or early August with hopes of starting the erection soon after.  We certainly could not have done any of this with out the huge support from the community.  If there are any questions please do not hesitate to ask any of the Project coordinators: Scott Flemming, Philip Parsons or Chad Giesbrecht.
